Elle Diggory Hufflepuff Sixth Year. Niece of Cedric Diggory. Chaser on the Quidditch team. Dating the lovely James Potter. He followed her as she led him into the Hufflepuff showers, grinning. He started laughing as she took off her cardigan “I like where this is heading” he joked. As she turned the shower on he stepped forward. “Yep, that’s pretty convincing!” he smirked, pulling off his tshirt.
He ran over, flinching slightly as the cold water touched his skin. Wrapping his arms around her soaking waist, he picked her up, spinning her around under the jet of cold water. “Am I clean enough for you now?”
She laughed as he picked her up, her arms wrapping around his neck tightly, squealing as the cold water trickled down her back, it made her shiver slightly, but she kept grinning, “Not exactly.” she smirked, splashing some water on him.
“I love you, you know that right?” she said with a soft smile, “I really do.” she leant forward and brushed her lips against his.
“Hmph, fine.” she grumbled, before his compliment made her smile, even blush like a schoolgirl, something rare for her, well not rare when she was around him.”Yeah, well you’re looking extremely handsome.” she replied, raising an eyebrow.
“Oh, I’m certain I could convince you.” she smirked back, folding her own arms across her chest, before taking his hands in hers, sliding her fingers in between his own, how clichéd they seemed to fit perfect, she laughed at his expression, before standing up on her tip toes, leaning to mutter into his ear. “I’m very sure I could.”
“Convince me huh?” he said raising an eyebrow, “And how exactly would you do that?” he asked, grinning as her hands slid into his and he felt the warmth of her breath against his neck. “Though I’m certainly not opposed to you trying”
“And now we arrive to the show part of show and tell.” she grinned, turning around, and pulling him towards the showers, well not exactly pulling, but leading him towards them. Deciding that the Gryffindor Showers were going to be busy, she lead him towards the Hufflepuff ones instead, as hopefully they would be empty.
Taking off her cardigan and shoes, she let go of his hands and ran towards the shower, purposing leaving the rest of her clothes on, she turned the tap on, the sudden burst of cold water making her squeal, water soaking every inch of her. “How’s this for convincing?”
“No, we’re not doing this again. Lets just agree that you’re better than everyone else and leave it at that. Because you are.” He grinned and gave her a short peck on the lips, his fingers lingering on her cheek. “And you look really beautiful today, it’s almost criminal that I haven’t mentioned that yet”
He hung his head,”Awwwww!” he groaned, in the manner of a small child being told it was time for bed. “And if I refuse to go shower? I’d like to see you try to force me.” He smirked, folding his arms across his chest “Though I do like it when you run your fingers through my hair…. You always mess it up nicely…” He pretended to consider his options, as though it was an extremely difficult choice

He ran his hand through his hair, his grin widening “Yeah, I know, but you are far more amazing. The amazingest.” He hadn’t realised how long it had been since they’d spent time together, and felt a pang of guilt. He was glad that she was still so happy to see him though.
He rolled his eyes at her words “I smell amazing, like… like something that smells lovely that I can’t think of right now. But if Miss Sensitive Nose is displeased by my scent I suppose I could go shower…..” he said teasingly “Except I’ll have to wash the mud off, and I must say it was starting to grow on me.”
She laughed, a large grin forming on her face, “Not possible.” she shook her head slightly, finding herself lost in his dark brown eyes, a part of her thought they resembled a puppy’s, with the bright spark in the centre and how they seemed light up his entire face.
“Miss Sensitive Nose?” she commented, trying not to break out laughing but failing miserably, “You’re going to go shower.” she said with an edge of finality, “Whether or not I have to force you.” she said with a slight smirk, “And the mud will turn all hard and if that happened I wouldn’t be able to run my hands through your hair.” she reasoned, one hand tangling itself in his hair softly.
“Oh I’m completely and utterly disappointed” he said, smirking, leaning down and kissing her, his hand running down her back and resting on her waist. “Yeah Rosie’s going absolutely crazy….” he said with a furtive glance over to where the red haired Gryffindor was giving a frightening pep talk to the beaters who had apparently been ‘not putting in the effort required to win the cup.’ He shook his head, and turned his attention back to Elle “Well I was going to head off to the showers, but if you like it so much….” he winked at her.
He looked over his shoulder at the offending team players “Oi, you lot, got a problem with my girlfriend? Because if you do, then you’ll soon have another problem as well, namely removing your head from your ass” They shot Elle one more dirty look and filed out, talking in hushed tones
“So now that they’re gone… Where were we?”
“I bet.” she muttered, her voice lowering as she kissed him back happily, not thinking twice about it, she’d missed this, being around him, the strange warmth that he had and how that warmth seemed to seep from him into her, and she wouldn’t give that up for anything in the world. “Rose’s at her best when she’s crazy.” she nodded with a laugh, “But don’t let her hear me say that. And why this look suits you very much, there is a slight thing about how awful you smell.” she pulled a face at him, which turned into a grin.
She raised an eyebrow at his team mates, before smiling at him softly, mouthing a thank you, not really interested in what they had to say about her, all she needed to know was that it wasn’t positive, but she shrugged it off, leaning forward to brush his lips against his once more, “You really are amazing.” she muttered.
“I was telling you how much you smell.”
Elle had been feeling like a right awful girlfriend lately, with what she had nicknamed the Charlie Situation which she had chosen to ignore completely, Quidditch training at ridiculous hours in the morning-slash-night, more homework than what was probably legal, and just life itself deciding to catch up with her. Ignoring the pile of assignments sitting on the table she stood up, and getting changed into something more comfortable than her school uniform, a pretty sundress and knee high thick woollen socks with a cardigan, she wondered around, knowing exactly where the person she was looking for was. Or hoped he would be.
Half running half walking down to the Quidditch Pitch, the Gryffindor team were just finishing up, and heading towards the locker room where she came behind a certain person and covered his eyes. James. Placing a kiss on his neck, turning to mumble in his ear.
“Guess who?”
He grinned at the sound of her voice, but suddenly became very conscious of the large amounts of mud and sweat left over from a long practise. “Hmm…..” he said in a mock thoughtful voice “Al? No… Hugo! I give up” He said with a laugh, attempting to prise her hands from his eyes
She laughed, removing her hands from his to wrap around his neck, she looked over his shoulder, and at the side of his face. “You must be absolutely shattered that it’s nothing but your measly girlfriend.” She said with a smirk, sending a glare to some onlookers of the female variety, before kissing his cheek and skipping happily around to his front, wiping some mud off her his face with the pad of her thumb, looking up at him with a grin.
“I see Rosie’s been working you hard.” she said with a laugh, “Being covered in mud and sweat suits you actually.” she said with a thoughtful look, scanning his features before smiling, “Please tell the other members of your team to stop giving me greasy looks, I know I play for another team, but I’m in Hufflepuff for fuck’s sake, also your training’s over, right?”
The library was unusually quiet today, and Elle wondered up the steps, not sure what to expect, not even sure if he would come, fingers crossed he would, hopefully, but she couldn’t blame him if he didn’t… Thoughts as such ran through her mind as she pushed open the library doors, looking around hoping to see the person with the bright blue eyes and the lop-sided grin.
Checking the clock on the wall, ‘7:02’, so she was only two minutes late… Quidditch training had run overtime slightly, and with a mad dash from the showers to the Great Hall for something to eat, she’d just managed to be just behind her schedule. Looking down ever isle, hoping to see him, she gave up, taking a seat on one of the couches.
Charlie was late. He’d never been late before to anything before, priding himself on being one time, even early, to everything and he found himself rushing towards the library. On the way there, he stopped, coming to an abrupt halt. What was he doing? She’d made her intentions perfectly clear and yet, he had to question if she’d meant it. She’d told him what she wanted and now, she was asking to meet him.
He had half a mind to not show up but he found himself walking towards the library faster, his feet taking him up the steps two at a time. Hopefully she’d still be waiting as he checked his watch.
7.18.
One…two…three…four…five…
She counted each long drawn out second, and after about fifteen minutes, or what she thought was an hour, she stood up, deciding that he wasn’t coming after all, and she would have to find someone to copy off last minute. Picking up her bag and slinging it over her shoulder, chucking the books back into it, before heading towards the door, but she stopped, taking a piece of parchment and penning a note to him.
It’s alright, you know. I understand.
Deciding to stop off at the Owlery, to send the letter to him, she pushed the door open, and walked straight into him, she stepped back, giving him a small smile.
“Nice of you to show up.”
